What is Interact Club?
Interact is a Rotary-sponsored organization designed to get young people
involved in community service. Founded in 1962, Interact stands for International
Action.
About Winter Springs High School's Interact Club
We have approximately 50 active members and have been in operation for
the last two and a half years. Our goal is to serve our school and community
as well as increase international understanding, goodwill and peace through
a world fellowship of youth united in the ideal of service.
Present and Future Missions for WSHS Interact Club
We have two major service projects scheduled for this school year.
The first, Interact's Third Annual Canned Food Challenge, is an activity
in which we challenge all clubs and organizations on campus to see who
can collect the most canned food. All food collected is donated to the
Second Harvest Food Bank.
The second is Operation Christmas Child and Toys for Tots. In December,
we will collect toys, school supplies, hygiene products, etc. for underprivileged
children all over the world.
