Requirements
New membership selection for the National Honor Society begins after the end of the first semester in January. All tenth grade students, with an unweighted, cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 and all eleventh grade students with an unweighted, cumulative grade-point average of 3.4 who have been in attendance at Winter Springs High for at least one semester, receive a letter of invitation and an application to apply for NHS membership for the following school year. The letters will be delivered on campus.
Membership selection is also based on scholarship, service, leadership, and character, with the final selection of new members decided by a majority vote of the Faculty Selection Council.
