Parents have been able to log into Skyward during the first semester, but now the Student Access component is available as well. This is valuable for a few reasons. First, parents who want their children to have access to grades online no longer have to share their username and password information with their children. Students will have their own usernames and passwords separate from their parents. Another important feature of Student Access is the ability for students and teachers to communicate. Teachers will have the ability to send messages within Skyward and to student email addresses through the Student Access system. So, for instance, teachers can quickly email an entire class about upcoming assignments or other important information relevant to their class. Since it is all done within Skyward, teachers do not need to have student email addresses. It is all done automatically. In addition, students will be able to view an assignment calendar, their student information, attendance, their schedule, their academic history, and their login history. Our next step is to get all WSHS students logged into the Student Access system before February 13, because we will be using it for registration for the next school year. Student accounts are already created. This is how they log in. Go to skyward.scps.k12.fl.us and type in the following information. Login ID: Student ID Number When students first log in they will be prompted to change their password. Then, they will see a request to enter their email address. It is important for them to enter an email address, because in the event that they forget their password, the system will send them an email to reset it. Students who have trouble getting logged into Skyward should see our technology facilitator, Mr. Storms in room 2-109. We are aware that some students do not have computers and/or internet access at home. All students are able to use computers in our Media Center before and after school and during most lunch times. Skyward Family AccessNeed system for Parents & Students to check grades, attendance, etc. Important: Parents who are already in PIN do NOT need to sign up for Skyward. They simply need to log into PIN and from there, they will receive their Skyward username & password. Click here for application form for Skyward Family Access Blackboard TroubleshootingBelow are the 2 most frequent issues with Blackboard and their solutions. I can’t log into Blackboard. Make sure they are going to http://blackboard.scps.k12.fl.us, not blackboard.com or any other blackboard site. Notice there isn't a www in front. It won't work if you type in the www. You can get to a link on the school website under the parent info tab. All of my classes are not showing up. Classes not showing up. That is completely on the teacher. Teachers are responsible for enrolling/helping their students get enrolled in their individual classes. So if a parent says so and so's class isn't showing up, you should email the teacher directly. Emails can be found for each department on the website under departments tab. WSHS Parents:Sign up here to receive WSHS e-mails by clicking the button above. |
