Welcome back to another fun summer of Winter Springs Cross-Country conditioning. Below you will find our schedule that is directed towards total body fitness. Our goal is to slowly and gradually prepare the Winter Springs runner for a successful fall season of competitive Cross-Country. It is well known that fall Cross-Country Championships are won during the summer months of conditioning. The dog days of summer in Florida are extremely challenging for any athlete but for a distance runner you must be a special kid that enjoys the pure joy of running.

By the end of the summer our goal to reach 1,000 miles of running is only one small segment of our training philosophy at Winter Springs. One thousand miles is only 3.2 miles a day, with one day a week off. As an athlete in our program you will also complete thousands of specified calisthenics, bike for hundreds of miles and lift pound after pound in the weight room. Again your training will be challenging but the experience will be life everlasting. Welcome to Winter Springs High School Cross-Country Summer Conditioning.
