Please meet at the practice football field better known as the pit 6:00p.m.Coach Girls : Ocky Clark (407) 320-8706 Dear Parents and Student Athletes Welcome back to another exciting year of Winter Springs Girls Cross-Country. This fall will begin our tenth year of competitive and exciting running. Although ten years is a short time of existence for a high school athletic team, our program is rich in the tradition of winning For the complete welcome letter, click here. Summer Training Program, click here for information. Philosophy: I believe that fall cross-country should be utilized for improving endurance and stamina. Fall cross-country is not a time for peaks. My objective during this period is to develop a very high volume of aerobic fitness that will allow the young athlete to compete comfortably over 5,000 meters, survive winter sports and finally return for spring track. With this plan my teams of the past have excelled during the championship series of cross-country. The few soccer players that bravely trained with me during the months of July through November entered winter soccer at a much higher level of fitness than their counterparts who chose not to due to fear.
