Sebastian River JV Championship
The Lady Bears JV fastpitch softball team won the Sebastian River JV Championship softball tournament over spring break. The team went 4-0 during the tournament and outscored their opponents 48 runs to 10. The team is 15-3 overall and has a team batting average of .373
Bears - 11 Lyman - 0
The Lady Bears Fastpitch Softball team began the season in a dominant fashion defeating visiting Lyman 11-0 in a district game. Back to back to back doubles by Marissa Blake, Gina Figliolia, and Heather Knoop began the scoring giving the Bears an early 3-0 lead. Those runs are all Richelle Raley would need as she spun a one hitter over 5 innings. Raley also contributed three rbi’s. Blake and Figliolia added three runs and three hits apiece while Knoop brought the big bat with a two run double and a three-run homerun. Lauren Ely and Monica Torres also added hits for the Bears and newcomers Rachel Sherman and Sierra Adams scored their first runs as Bears.Congratulations on a job well done.
