Charity Spaghetti Dinner at St. Stephens Church

Winter Springs High School football family is putting on a charity spaghetti dinner at St. Stephens Church, May 19th from 5:30 to 7:30. All the proceeds will go to the Vite family to help offset the cost that the family is going through. We hope that you will consider attending and maybe even spread the information. State Farm Donates


Winter Springs High School Football team received a Good Neighbor Grant for $500.00 thanks to Mrs. Cory Alexander who volunteered 40 hours of community service to the football program.  Pictured is Cory Alexander, State Farm Good Neighbor Bear and Mike Kintz, WSHS Head Football Coach.  The WSHS football program would like to thank Cory Alexander for her dedication to our football program.

Tight End commits to USF

Justin Brockhaus-Kann, a 6-2 235 pound senior tight end who also place-kicks and punts for Winter Springs, has given an oral committment to sign in February to play football for the University of South Florida.

"Hopefully we dont have to punt too much this year but he can boot the ball," said Mike Kintz, Winter Springs First year head coach. "USF is signing him as a tight end, punter and kicker. We went over there for their 7 on 7 camp and they liked his size and the way he can kick."

Physicals/ Injuries

  • All players must have a physical on file to participate in football practices in the fall..
  • All players must have an updated physical before August 1 st, 2007 (physical night 6:00 pm at Winter Springs High School)

Grades

  • Student-Athletes that are not promoted into 9 th grade WILL NOT be able to participate in Freshmen football.
