Where were you when Winter Springs beat Oviedo in 2005, Twice? The Bears defeated Oviedo 16-8 to claim our 3rd Seminole Athletic Conference Championship. The defense dominated the Lions with great efforts by Alex Skipper, Kris Vite, Zach "Diesel" Hillery, and Cameron Thompkins who returned an interception 90 yards for the winning T.D. The offense was paced by Taylor Salem's 110 yards passing and great blocking from the O-line. Monday on Halloween the Bears played for the District Title at Oviedo, playing Lake Brantley. The Bears put up a valiant effort but lost the first round 3-0. Waiting for their opportunity again the Bears needed Lake Brantley to beat the Lions to have a chance at the runner up spot in the district. Lake Brantley pulled through beating the Lions 10-7. This gave the Bears another game playing Oviedo for the final spot. The Bears battled their way to a win, beating the Lions not just once but twice in their own house 10-0. Congratulations Bears on your 6A District 2 Runner Up spot! Do not forget to come out this Friday the 4th to watch us play University High at 7pm!

Sept 16
Your Varsity football team raised their record to 2-2 and 1-0 in the district with a dominating 28-9 victory over Lake Mary. Ashuwa Richardson returned a punt 64 yards for a touchdown. The offensive line with Lars Anderson, Chris Krack, Luther Walls, Dean Erlandson, Christian Myburgh, Jason Brackhaus-Kann and J.C. Knoop cleared the way for 300 rushing yards and 3 Touchdowns. The defense was led by Andrew Keel, Alex Skipper, Jamal Rudolph and Kris Vite who caused a fumble with a bone jarring tackle. The Bears play Lyman this Friday at home at 7:00pm. Be there to support your Bears!
