Winter Springs Women’s Soccer Alumni

Here is a listing of former Winter Springs Bears, who are currently playing college soccer. With each girls’ name, is a link to the webpage for her college soccer program. We invite you to keep track of our alumni and follow their successes in college.

We are trying to put together a directory of former players, to keep you informed of the current program, and also to work towards an “Alumni Game” next year. Former Bears playing in college:

Yvonne George (’07) University of Central Florida.   The junior midfielder finished her season as the second leading scorer for the Knights, with 5 goals and 7 assists.  Yvonne will help lead UCF into the NCAA Div I tournament on Friday.  The Knights will be in Gainesville and will take on the University of Miami.  Best of luck Yvonne!!!

Kristin Voirin (’07)  Belmont-Abbey College.   A junior defender, Kristin led the Crusaders to a 17-3-3 overall record.  She has started in 69 matches since entering as a freshman.  This season, Kristin was recognized for her efforts by being named to the Conference Carolinas  “All Conference First Team”.  (the conference consists of 12 Div II schools in the Carolinas area)  Congratulations Kristin, we are all proud of you!!!

Chrissy Scarlata (‘08)  Brandeis University.   A freshman midfielder, Chrissy has helped the Judges to the conference tournament this week.  Standing at 11-7-2, the defending ECAC champions, play in semi-final action on Friday.  Best of luck Chrissy, keep up the hard work, you make us proud!!

Brittany Szewc  (’08)  US Air Force Academy.  While the Falcons posted a 3-12 overall record this year, the freshman forward has gotten a good taste of life has a student-athlete at a military academy.  Brittany has done well, balancing rigorous academics, military life and contributing on the field.  Keep flyin’ high Britt, we are proud of you!
