TO EARN A LETTER FOR MEN’S TRACK

To earn a letter a runner must score fifty points in a season. (Shot, discus and distance runners- (800-1600-3200) must score 30 points in a season). The following are several ways to score points.

1.) Double points scored in a big meet. Example: 1st place in the 4 x 400 Relay- 10 x 2 = 20 points.

2.) Four (4) times the points if you set a school, meet, State, or national record. Example: 1st place in the 100 meters- 4 x 10 = 40 points.

3.) Also!! ATTITUDE, TEAM SUPPORT, AND ATTENDANCE WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION.

4.) No runner is eligible for a Varsity Letter or School Record unless they complete the entire season. Required practices, and attendance at the Award Dinner. Suspension, either temporary or permanent, automatically prohibits that runner from being eligible for a Varsity Letter or School Record.
