Girl’s Track and Field - 3/26/2008 – SAC Championships

Congratulations to the girl’s track and field team. The team finished 3rd in the SAC championships. The team’s individual winner was Ashley Evans in the girls Discus with another personal best of 129 feet 7 inches.

Both Ashley Evans and Angele Danizard combined for a total of 35 ½ team points.

Other notable performance were turn in Lauran Cox, Coral Bryan, Kaleena Ewing, Kristen Yokom, Mallory Simerville, Emily Keeter, Elizabeth Adams, Amanda and Shandreika Lewis.

LAKE BRANTLEY 4-WAY - 3/12/08

Once again, SUPER WOMAN – ASHLEY EVAN set a new school record in the girl’s discus with a toss of 128 feet 7 ½ inches which is one of the state’s leading performances. Ashley also won the shot put with a toss of 34ft, 3 inch.

Other personal best performances were turned in by Coral Bryan and Angelie Denizard in the long jump, Monique Chavers and Natalie Mompoint in the field events, Angelie Denizard in the high jump and Kaleena Ewing in the 4x400m relay.

Physicals are good for up to 1 year
Physical must be filed in the training room prior to conditioning

CONDITIONING

It is encouraged that everyone participates in conditioning in order to prepare themselves for the season and to help reach the minimum standard for making the team.

The Girl's track and field team rounded out the season at the regional track and field meet:

In the discus, "Super Woman" Ashley Evans finished just shy of advancing to state competition with a throw of 103 feet 6 inches.

Sophmore Elizabeth Adams sprinted down the home stretch to another impressive performance. Elizabeth completed the season with a personal best in the 3200 meter run, improving her time by more than six seconds.
