Winter Springs High School is a grade 9-12 high school located in Winter Springs, Florida. It currently serves the needs of over 2000 Seminole County students.The official mascot is the Bear and its official colors are, purple, black, and gold.

Mission

Through the individual commitment of all, our students will graduate with the values, skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to be productive citizens.

History

Winter Springs High School opened its doors in 1997 with A.W. Epps serving as its first principal. In its first school year the school served only 9th and 10th grade students while the following school year the it served 11thgrade students. In the 1999-2000 school year, Winter Springs high school celebrated its first graduating senior class.

In 2000, Dr. Elise Gruber became principal and was succeeded by Dr. Michael R. Blasewitz in 2004. In 2012, Dr. Mickey Reynolds was named the fourth principal of Winter Springs High School. Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year, Peter Gaffney joined the Winter Springs High School bears as their Principal.
